Hyperlite has had another year of close collaboration with BOA technology who has helped them with their unique lacing system. By spinning the wheel on the side of the boot, a stainless steel cable tightens an even pressure over the foot. This year's binding has, just like the rest of the collection, been thoroughly upgraded with a new manufacturing method and new materials.
The unique Hyperliner material becomes malleable when heated. Heat the shoe and put it in your foot and tighten. When the shoe has cooled down, you have a molded liner for your foot.
Other smart materials include Ultron, which is both shock-absorbing and anti-microbial, preventing bacteria and mold from growing in the shoe.
The new EVA-Lite Sole has better contact with the board and is still just as stable and shock-absorbing.
HYPERLITE The System Binding Pro
Hyperlite has taken a winning concept and made it even better. The money that many other manufacturers spend on marketing old models, Hyperlite spends another year on innovation and improved products. In this year's system binding you will find completely new material that has taken the entire construction to a new level.
Exclusive to the pro binding this year is a removable EVA footplate. The idea is to give the rider a little extra cushioning under the foot on days when they have loaded the boat or are going to ride big on the cable.
The chassis this year is made of a polycarbonate that has allowed for an even more advanced construction. Since the material is both lighter and stronger, a large part of the lower part of the chassis has been removed to get as much contact between the boot and the board as possible. The result is better control, more board response and a lower center of gravity.
The rear cover is made of urethane plastic, which has many good properties. An asymmetrical construction has been developed with extra support on the outside of the cover where the stress is greatest. The combination of the new shape and material has created a backplate that can flex to the sides but still provides all the support the skier needs in the event of a hard heel cut.
The ankle buckle that was previously only on the more expensive Pro binding has become even better and is now available on all Hyperlite system bindings. The locking buckles have also been upgraded and give a truly exclusive feel to the entire binding.
The previous plastic teeth that connect the screw to the binding are now made of aluminum and are completely replaceable. Everything to ensure that your binding survives and performs 100% season after season.
